Welcome to the Shelby County Historical Museum, located at the corner of Pine Street and Morse Avenue in Harlan.  Opened in 1975 as a Bicentennial project, the facility has grown to four buildings including the Leland and McIntosh Log Cabins.

Prairie Trails Museum and Cabins

The museum is open on Sundays from 2 to 4 pm during the summer and by appointment throughout the year.  There is no admission charge.

Check out the calendar on the Events page and attend one of our activities.  Get a sampling of what's on display from the Exhibits pages and then set aside a time for a visit.
